Pollination

my lips taste like beeswax

like dollar store chapstick

and the rim of a spinning bottle

bees fill my mouth

like ninth-grade gossip

and seven minutes in the sky

fuzz and wings pry my teeth

and tickle my throat

coaxing saliva like honey for their queen

but they force me

to swallow

their stingers
