Oct 10th Poetry, Spring 2021 Poetry, Spring 2021 We, for now, Swaddled We, for now, SwaddledBy Kathryn ChuppSplashed with milky light, the blanketed sky wraps us up:a safe feel of small.Shooting stars commence, and we lay in the fleetinglife of light. We, naiveto their final bow in thedance of brilliance. We, invincibleto the sure presence of death, too young to fathomwhen it will feeltoo small, and we, too, willfall into vaster skies. But for now, feel the breasted Earthpull us close, swaddled in stars.
