Fall 2014 Deadline—Mark Your Calendars!

Hello, hello, hello! friends of Opus,

We have so many delightful things planned this semester and look forward to you joining us! 

Our print and art DEADLINE this semester is Saturday, September 20 at 11:59pm. We ask that you limit yourself to 5 submissions per category (i.e. 5 art submissions and 5 print submissions). Please send your submissions to opus@hope.edu. 

We’re looking for all the cool pieces you worked on this semester! Print submissions may include, but are certainly not limited to, poetry, prose, non-fiction, plays, monologues, dialogues, graphic novel excerpts, mixed genre writing, translations and so much more! Art submissions may include,  but are certainly not limited to, photography, painting, sketching, printmaking, altered art, digital art, sculpture ceramics, and so much more! Not sure if your piece fits the bill? Send us an e-mail!

Some other dates for you to keep in mind:

Meetings are Mondays and Thursdays at 7pm in Lubbers 224—we have a come when you can, leave when you have to policy, so no worries about ducking in or out! Anyone can come to these meetings and we encourage everyone to stop in! Come to 4 out of 10 meetings and your name is published in the next edition!

Opus Soup is Thursday, December 4th at 7pm, in the Fried-Hemenway Auditorium. This is when we release the newest edition of Opus, listen to the artists talk about their pieces, eat snacks, and hang out with awesome people!
